Organised by Mrs. Janet Martin to celebrate the Wedding of Prince Charles to Princess Diana on the 29th July 1981 in St. Pauls Cathedral, London. As Prince Charles is also the Duke of Cornwall it was felt appropriate to organise a promotional model with the permission of Lesney Products and make it available to collectors after the wedding. The model originally sold for 3,75 GBP and it was agreed by the promoters that all profits from the sales of these models would go to the Mount Edgecombe Hospice in St. Austell, Cornwall, which specialises in the care of cancer patients.

Matchbox Models of Yesteryear (Y7-3) 1912 Rolls Royce Code 2 Issue is the "Duchy of Cornwall 29th July 1981" Royal Wedding Issue which was released in 1982.
The model had a lemon yellow body with gloss black chassis.
It had a gloss black ribbed roof, black grille & seats with a type C spare wheel carrier and a type E (Y6 & Y7) base without holes. It had red 12 spoke wheels and was issued in a straw window box
